EasyShidoku has no accounts, no sign-in and no servers of our own. Nothing anyone does in the game reaches us. The one place data leaves the device is the advertising in the free version, and the section below names exactly what goes.
What stays on the device
Levels finished, stars earned, the daily streak, the chosen appearance and symbols, and whether the full game was purchased. All of it is written by the app to the device and goes when the app is deleted.
Advertising, and the identifiers it uses
The free version shows ads served by a third-party advertising network. To choose an ad, cap how often it is shown and check it was not fraudulent, that network can read:
- The device advertising identifier (IDFA) — the per-device ID Apple provides for advertising. iOS only makes it available after you agree to the App Tracking Transparency prompt; decline, and ads are served without it.
- Other per-device identifiers — the vendor identifier (IDFV) and an app-set ID, neither of which follows you into other developers’ apps.
- Device and connection information — model, OS version, language, a coarse region derived from the IP address, and which ad was shown.
None of that is a name, an email address or a precise location, and none of it is linked to any of those by us. We do not sell data and we run no analytics of our own.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the app asks for consent the first time it runs, and that choice can be changed again from Settings inside the game.
Buying the full game stops the ads, and with them every identifier above and the consent prompt. See pricing.
Game Center
Optional, and off until it is turned on. Apple handles the identity, the daily puzzle’s leaderboard and the achievements; we never see an Apple Account, only the scores Apple shows to the game.
Purchases
The one-time purchase goes through the App Store. Apple takes the payment and tells the app whether it succeeded. No card number, billing address or Apple Account detail reaches us, and there is nothing for us to store.
Children
Children play this game, so it asks nobody for anything: no name, no email, no photograph, no microphone, no location, and no text box to type into anywhere. If you would rather a child saw no ads at all, the purchase removes them permanently.
